Talenta is Mekari’s HR super app — covering payroll, attendance, workforce management, and employee self-service for enterprise clients across Indonesia. I joined as a mobile engineer and grew into the tech lead role over four years, managing Android and iOS.
What I worked on
Architecture migration. Inherited a legacy Android monolith and led the transformation to Modular Clean Architecture, decoupling core dependencies and establishing testable module boundaries. Unit test coverage moved from 0% to 80% as part of this work.
Flutter Add-to-App strategy. Standardized Flutter as the “golden path” for new feature development and migrated 50% of legacy modules to a unified Flutter Add-to-App architecture. This reduced platform-specific bottlenecks and allowed shared feature delivery across Android and iOS.
Performance. Reduced app startup time by 80% through profiling and systematic removal of blocking initialization work. Standardized cross-platform logging to improve observability across both native and Flutter surfaces.
Security. Hardened the app against fraud vectors using Play Integrity API, root detection, and GPS spoofing prevention.
AI-enabled delivery. Built internal AI agents and developer tooling that automated repetitive workflows — documentation, release management, OKR analysis — resulting in a 50% increase in team velocity and consistent 80%+ SonarQube coverage.
OKR reporting. Escalated and enhanced OKR reporting by building Haki, an internal tool that automates 100% of individual OKR scoring — pulling directly from Jira and Bitbucket activity to compute and surface each engineer’s OKR achievement without manual tracking.
Reliability. Maintained a 99.5% crash-free rate at 1M+ DAU through automated regression pipelines, structured release management, and on-call discipline.
